A Weekend Exploring Your Body's Foundation, Connection, and Inner Balance

This weekend intensive combines strong practice, anatomic exploration, and functional application. Each session builds on the last—from the ground up through the feet and hips, into the shoulders and ribs, through inversions, and finally into the deep core and psoas. Transitioning between poses will be emphasized throughout for seamless flow. Whether you're refining your personal practice or developing your teaching skills, you'll leave with embodied understanding of how these foundations support everything we do on the mat.

What You'll Explore

Awaken and balance your feet for healthy ankles, knees, and hips

Stabilize and open the shoulders with deep, slow work

Build toward classic inversions with intelligent modifications

Connect to the central line of energy from Tadasana to Savasana

Release the psoas for free and safe movement

Daily Sessions

Friday 3:00 PM – 5:30 PM: Grounding — Balancing Feet, Hips, and Sacrum

Your foundation—strong and nimble, active and receptive. Begin with an anatomic exploration and follow through into functional and Yogic expressions. The strong and specific practice will awaken and balance your feet, creating healthy ankles, knees, and hips above. Transitioning between poses will be emphasized for a seamless flow.

Saturday 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Connect and Expand — Shoulders, Neck, and Ribs

Truly opening the shoulders involves lots of stabilizing. Practice basic opening and strengthening poses that may feel like core work depending on your body's history and needs. Deep and slow.

Saturday 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Inversions

All the whys and hows, who should and should not, bring us all to the life-changing practice of Inverting. We'll practice step-by-step with intelligent modifications toward classic inversions. Inversions are the gateway to eka-grata, single-pointed focus, and meditative calm. You'll fall in love with your practice again.

Sunday 10:00 AM – 12:30 PM: Align and Flourish — The Enduring Mountain

The ultimate blueprint. From Tadasana to Plank, Dandasana to Savasana, awareness of the central line of energy brings us to all movement possibilities including the deepest rest. From deep core-work to uncovering intuitive connections long lost, wake up to your best, most wakeful Self. This is Yoga at its most affirming, from inner awareness to Who am I, truly.

Sunday 2:00 PM – 4:30 PM: Inner Peace — Psoas Release

For experienced students and teachers. Know and keep your innermost core stable as you explore mobilizing and opening your body. Because the Psoas muscle is the keystone within the Cylinder of Support, keeping it balanced and happy is key to free and safe movement. Its relationship to the nervous system can complicate things based on our life histories as well. We'll identify this deep muscle and learn to stabilize and safely release it. Expect a brief anatomy lesson and slow, safe, and steady movements and poses.ABOUT BRITNI SEROU:
